Morson are working with one on the countries leading defence manufacturers who are looking for a new Tactical Buyer.
- To contribute to the optimization of the local sourcing in term of cost and quality (suppliers portfolio optimization)
- To contribute to secure deliveries by choosing reliable suppliers and developing multi sourcing
- To ensure part of the administrative processes of Purchase Orders for all general Purchasing expenses & manufacturing Non BOM items
- To add additional support liaising with internal stakeholders when required and to deputies within the Indirect Expenses process when required.
Corporate strategy application:
- The Tactical Buyer will contribute to the application of the corporate strategy by
- Ensuring the application of the Procurement policy by ensuring that we use corporate retained suppliers.
- Contributing to the reporting regarding the implementation of the Procurement strategy
Optimization of the local sourcing:
- The Tactical Buyer will contribute to the optimization of the local sourcing. To do this under the authority of the Procurement Manager they will:
- Contribute to the management of the DIS supplier’s portfolio for the main segments and spending.
- Manufacturing Purchasing
- General purchasing.
- Contribute to the purchasing objectives achievement (savings / PPV, cost avoidance, spending reduction) for the Manufacturing / General commodities.
For both activities the Tactical Buyer
- Will apply best practices.
- Will ensure that the Purchasing reporting is well used and reliable.
- Use the NATS reporting line.
Mandatory skills:
- Graduate / college student A Levels IB BTEC, demonstrated achievements.
- Fluent English
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge with Word / Excel
