 Commercial Administrator - Portsmouth - MOD Repairs Contract

Commercial Administrator required to work with reputable, privately owned contractor based in Portsmouth. Our client specialises in the delivery of repairs contracts for MOD clients in the South of England, focusing primarily on the accomodation side of things. Below is a list of responsibilities that the role could evolve into, however this is a new position for the business and can be adjusted to suit the skills of the individual. Training and development will be provided, with the opportunity to progress into a Quantity Surveyor position. 

 

  • Contract Management: Ensure compliance with MOD terms, KPIs, and SLAs; manage subcontractor and supplier agreements, avoiding scope creep.
  • Financial Oversight: Assist with budgets, track costs, manage invoicing, and prepare financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with MOD clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, providing updates and resolving commercial issues.
  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractor compliance, performance, invoicing, and dispute resolution.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of contracts, variations, and audits.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks while tracking claims and variations.
  • Change Management: Handle contract changes, ensuring they are approved and documented.
  • Compliance: Ensure health, safety, and legal compliance, including insurance and bonding.
  • Reporting: Prepare financial and performance reports, track KPIs, and assist with bid support.
  • Administrative Support: Provide admin support, including scheduling, document prep, and data entry.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist with resolving commercial disputes and coordinating with legal teams.
  • Continuous Improvement: Propose process improvements and monitor industry trends for better contract management.
