This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for the safe movement of boats around the unit, towing boats as required, and assisting with general duties. You will also support the stores department, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:
Safely move and tow boats around the yard and between locations
Assist with general yard duties, including cleaning, maintenance, and organisation
Support the stores department with stock handling, deliveries, and storage
Load and unload materials and equipment as required
Carry out routine inspections of trailers, vehicles, and equipment to ensure they are in good working order
Assist with launching and recovering boats as needed
Adhere to all health & safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar yard or boat handling role is preferred
Confident in towing and manoeuvring boats using trailers (Towing licence advantageous)
Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one) is beneficial
Good understanding of health and safety in a yard/marine environment
Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks
A team player with a proactive and reliable approach to work
