Academics are recruiting a Maths Teacher for a small school in Fareham that specializes in social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) and autism (ASC) for pupils aged 14-19 years.
The school currently has 27 pupils who are preparing for further education or careers and requires a teacher to deliver Functional Skills and GCSE Maths lessons.
The role involves working with students on a 1:1 and small group basis, with all students having an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Experience supporting young people with SEMH and/or ASC is preferred but not essential for candidates applying for this position.
This is a temporary to permanent role that starts ASAP, with a salary of £28,000 to £38,000 per year depending on experience.

They currently have 27 pupils on roll who are preparing to transition into further education, or working towards a career.They are looking for a passionate Maths Teacher who is able to plan and deliver Functional Skills and GCSE Maths lessons to pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. All students have an EHCP and are offered tailored qualifications and experiences including vocational subjects, functional skills and GCSEs.

The suitable Maths Teacher will ideally have experience of supporting young people with SEMH and/or ASC, although not essential.
