Supply Desk is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher on behalf of a reputable secondary school near Portsmouth. The position is set to begin in September and offers a temporary contract with the potential for permanency. You will be teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 in a school that received a "Good" rating in all areas in its most recent Ofsted inspection.

Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic department in a secondary school near Portsmouth. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective Science lessons to students in KS3 and KS4. The school is open to considering teachers who may not specialize in Science but have relevant teaching experience at the secondary level.

This mixed secondary school, located in Portsmouth, caters to approximately 1,000 students aged 11 to 16. The school has a strong reputation and a supportive Senior Leadership Team (SLT) that upholds the school’s values. Onsite free parking is available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and policies.
  • Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Science or a related field.

  • Experience working with secondary school students is desirable but not essential.
