About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Mobilisation and Transition Manager to lead the seamless setup and handover of new projects and contracts. This role is crucial in ensuring successful project initiation, minimising disruption, and maximising efficiency from day one. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of delivering successful mobilisations in complex environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Mobilisation Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive mobilisation plans, including timelines, resource allocation, risk assessments, and communication strategies.
    • Lead the execution of mobilisation activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and deadlines.
    • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all necessary resources and infrastructure are in place.
    • Manage the procurement and setup of equipment, systems, and facilities.
    • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff.
  • Transition Management:
    • Develop and implement transition plans to facilitate the smooth handover of projects from the mobilisation phase to operational teams.
    • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and documentation.
    • Monitor and evaluate the transition process, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with operational teams to ensure a successful handover.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for all mobilisation and transition-related matters.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and operational teams.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on the progress of mobilisation and transition activities.
    • Manage client expectations throughout the transition process.
  • Risk and Issue Management:
    • Identify and assess potential risks and issues associated with mobilisation and transition activities.
    • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimise risks and resolve issues.
    • Maintain a risk register and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement:
    -Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mobilisation and transition activities.
    -Document and share lessons learned from previous mobilisations and transitions.
    -Contribute to the development of mobilisation and transition methodologies and tools.
  • Financial Oversight:
    -Manage the mobilisation budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery.
    -Track and report on mobilisation expenses.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience in mobilisation and transition management, preferably in [relevant industry].
Strong project management skills, including experience in developing and managing project plans, budgets, and timelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
