We are seeking a Service Manager to cover maternity leave for a fixed term of 12 months, leading our brand new supported living service in the heart of Fareham town centre, Hampshire. This exciting new development will consist of self-contained, generously sized, flats for nine adults with learning difficulties, requiring 24/7 support. You and your team will be supporting them to live as independently as possible in the community and support them to create their own home. You will have the amazing opportunity to be part of the setup, planning of the service and building a positive and dedicated team over the next few months. 

Our ideal Service Manager looks like this! 

  • Have a genuine desire to help, develop and maintain high quality service provision for the people we support in this service appropriate to their assessed needs.  
  • Have the skills and commitment to coaching and developing a new team, with an emphasis on Practice Leadership to develop and align best practices.
  • Understands the balance between keeping people safe and positive risk taking.
  • Has knowledge of the legal framework that apply in this service (e.g. DoLS, capacity and best interest requirements).
  • Qualification to NVQ level 3, QCE level 5.
  • Able to look at budgets and financial information to support the service remain financially viable. 
  • Understand and comply with the requirements of any contract within which the service is commissioned. Stakeholder Management
  • Promote and develop effective partnership working and networks, internally, professionally and in the wider community.
  • Hold a full UK driving license and have access to their own vehicle.
