Job Title: Paint Technician
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday, 07:30-16:15 | Friday, 07:30-11:30

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Paint Sprayer to join our Finishing Department, where you will be responsible for applying paint and specialized coatings to a range of components. The ideal candidate will have expertise in surface preparation, masking, coating application, and finishing techniques, with a strong commitment to maintaining quality and meeting regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare component surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
  • Ensure optimal surface conditions for proper paint adhesion and a smooth finish.
  • Apply a variety of coatings, including primers, topcoats, heat-resistant, anti-corrosive, and other protective layers as required.
  • Inspect finished components to verify uniformity, quality, and compliance with specifications.
  • Operate and maintain all painting equipment, including spray booths, spray guns, and mixers.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Keep accurate records of materials used, work performed, and inspection results.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in spray painting and surface preparation.
  • Familiarity with spraying components.
  • Background in the Aerospace industry (preferred, but not essential).
  • Strong attention to detail.

A trade test will be conducted during the interview, lasting 1-2 hours. The test will include:

  • Masking a component using various tapes.
  • Demonstration of knife skills.
  • A spraying demonstration.

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK freely adhering to ITAR restrictions
