Are you a passionate tutor with a flair for engaging and exploratory teaching? We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to introduce a Year 10 student to Spanish, Science, and Business Studies in a flexible and supportive alternative provision setting in Fareham.
The Role:
- Subjects: Introductory lessons in Spanish, Science, and Business Studies
- Focus: Engaging sessions to spark the student's curiosity and interest, rather than in-depth academic instruction
- Schedule:
- Monday: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (2 hours)
- Tuesday: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM (2.5 hours)
- Wednesday: 12:30 PM - 3:00 PM (2.5 hours)
- Friday: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (2 hours)
- Total Hours: 9 hours per week, spread across four days
- Start Date: Immediate, with sessions continuing until 20th December 2024 (subject to review)
- Baseline Assessment: Conduct a brief initial assessment to gauge the student's engagement level and tailor the approach accordingly.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience working with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) support is essential.
- Skills: Ability to create a positive, adaptive, and engaging learning environment that accommodates the unique needs of the student.
- Flexibility: Comfortable with adapting lessons based on student interest and response.
- Patience & Empathy: A supportive approach to working with students who require additional emotional and educational support.
- Desirable: While specific expertise in Spanish, Science, and Business Studies is not required, enthusiasm for these subjects and the ability to make learning enjoyable is a must.

Requirements:
- Professional Qualifications for the Education Industry
- Minimum of 1 years teaching experience
- Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs
- Understanding of safeguarding processes
- Enhanced DBS (we can assist with obtaining this)
- Right to work in the UK
