Job Advert: Senior Maintenance Technician (Electrical Biased)

Location: Fareham, Hants
Hourly Rate: 16.35 - 20.46 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week with flexible start times (07:00 - 15:30 or 09:30 - 18:00)
On-Call Rota: 1 in 3 (On-call allowance: 147.90 / 164.33 on Bank Holidays)

Our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Technician (Electrical Biased) to join their team on a prestigious government project in the Fareham area. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work across multiple sites, ensuring the highest standards of service and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all Planned and Reactive Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks in line with the contract Service Level Agreement.
  • Administer and manage work via PDA to ensure real-time job status is maintained.
  • Provide detailed reports for all completed work within the maintenance management system.
  • Deliver professional customer service while adhering to corporate standards and workwear.
  • Conduct mechanical, electrical, and fabric maintenance across various systems including electrical generators, HVAC, fire suppression, and more.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and associated policies.
  • Undertake small works outside of contract requirements, including electrical and mechanical alterations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Essential:
    • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
    • Experience in a large office building environment.
    • Basic plumbing knowledge (City and Guilds or equivalent preferred).
    • IT proficiency and excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable:
    • Understanding of SFG 20 requirements.
    • Familiarity with L8/HSG 274 regulations regarding water systems.
    • Ability to effectively prioritise and manage workloads.

Additional Information:

As this role involves working within a government building, candidates will undergo a Basic DBS check at recruitment and a CTC check upon starting the role.
