Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive self-starter to manage the Pre Construction phase of multiple projects. The role involves decision-making in a fast-paced Design & Build environment, providing Pre Construction services such as costing, contractual support, programming, design management, and ensuring health, safety, and sustainability. The position requires effective project management and being the main point of contact for client Pre-Construction inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
- Costing & Estimating: Develop accurate cost analyses, source competitive pricing, manage tendering, and coordinate site surveys.
- Contracts & Legal: Review and negotiate contracts, including JCT D&B and Pre Construction agreements. Manage performance bonds, insurances, and highlight risks.
- Design Management: Oversee design processes, ensuring timely and compliant design releases. Monitor design changes, cost updates, and buildability.
- MEP&S Design: Manage MEP&S design coordination and evaluate technical aspects, focusing on competitive design.
- Supply Chain Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, assess performance, and ensure compliance with design responsibilities.
- Building Control & Compliance: Liaise with authorities, ensuring occupancy and safety compliance.
- Programme & Risk Management: Prepare Pre Construction and Construction programs, highlight key dates, and manage procurement schedules.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards and prepare documentation for the construction team.
- Client Relations: Build strong relationships with clients and manage multiple projects efficiently.
- Pitch & Presentation: Contribute to pitch documents, presenting cost and technical expertise.
- Internal Systems: Utilize internal systems for costing, project preparation, and handover to construction teams.

Qualifications
- Degree or qualifications in Construction, Quantity Surveying, or related fields.
- Experience in costing and project management in a relevant environment.
