Level 3 Play Therapist - Empowering Children Through Play

Location: FaringdonSalary: £21,170 per annum + (pro-rata to 39 weeks - dependent on experience)Employment Type: Full-time (08:30am - 3:30pm)| Immediate Start

We are seeking an experienced Level 3 Play Therapist to join our team. In this Faringdon role, you will use play-based techniques to help children make sense of difficult life experiences and complex psychological issues. Your work will be instrumental in improving their mental health, emotional well-being, learning capabilities, and social relationships.

Key Responsibilities - Faringdon

  • Engage directly with EYFS Faringdon children and young people to address their psychological and emotional needs through play therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop comprehensive therapeutic plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports for external agencies and school evaluations.
  • Plan and deliver training sessions for staff to enhance their understanding of children's behaviours and therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications and Experience - Level 3 Play Therapist

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification or equivalent in childcare.
  • Proven experience working with children, particularly those with emotional or behavioural challenges.
  • Strong understanding of child development and the ability to apply therapeutic play techniques effectively.
