The Care Department is actively seeking Children Learning Disability Teaching Assistant to work within an award-winning school located in Lostsock Hall.The service is a bespoke specialist service for Children who are aged from 4 -11 with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs. You will be assisting the students through their educational journey.

  • Shifts: 8.30am - 4pm - Monday to Friday
  • Pay: 12.00 to 14 an hour

The role:

What you'll be doing as a Sen Teaching Assistant

The successful candidate will undertake education support duties and assist the class teacher in the day to day needs of the pupils in their care, to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum and respond to the pupils' needs. You will need to be able to pick and drop the child up from the residential service and take them to and from school.

The candidate:

  • A desire to create positive outcomes for Children with Learning disabilities
  • Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
