Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping up to trial balance and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Supporting payroll processing for clients.
- Preparing personal tax returns and assisting on audit assignments.
- Developing, documenting, and updating new procedures and systems.
- Handling ad hoc assignments as required.
Experience and Skills Requirements
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 6 or above preferred).
- Three A-Levels (including Mathematics) at Grade B or above preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- A proactive and organised approach to work.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and personable manner.
