Key Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping up to trial balance and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
  • Preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
  • Supporting payroll processing for clients.
  • Preparing personal tax returns and assisting on audit assignments.
  • Developing, documenting, and updating new procedures and systems.
  • Handling ad hoc assignments as required.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English (Grade 6 or above preferred).
  • Three A-Levels (including Mathematics) at Grade B or above preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A proactive and organised approach to work.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and personable manner.
