Financial Accountant – 16m Fixed Term Contract, £70k + Hybrid, Camberley

Looking for a fully qualified Senior Finance Professional for a long maternity cover contract with a fabulous International business in Camberley. **Candidates must be qualified, available at shorter notice and be able to commit to the duration of the contract**

In this varied and responsible Financial Accountant role, you will oversee statutory reporting and manage liaison with external auditors. This role will see you preparing monthly and quarterly consolidated accounts for Group submission, taking responsibility for statutory reporting, handling HMRC matters and managing treasury and cash flow forecasting. You will also support the Financial Controller and play a key role in the financial management of the company.

Day-to-day duties:

  • Lead the preparation of the year-end Statutory Accounts and manage the audit process with external Auditors.
  • Handle all HMRC/Customs matters of the business, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and PAYE.
  • Prepare Quarterly Consolidated Accounts and monthly Management Accounts, focusing particularly on the accounting of accruals and prepayments.
  • Manage treasury processes, including relevant reporting and forecasting.
  • Support the Financial Controller in the management and development of internal controls and processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Plan and liaise with Accounts Payable.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties, including departmental cover during holidays and absences as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA).
  • Proven experience in financial management and statutory reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of HMRC regulations and requirements.
  • Experience in treasury management and cash flow forecasting.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports and financial forecasts.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with various departments.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
