Management Accountant, Farnborough, £35000 - £38000 + Benefits

Position Overview:

The is a great opportunity for a motivated Management Accountant to contribute to the continued success and growth of this rapidly expanding business and to play a central role in finance team delivery. In this varied and challenging role which mixes transactional work with more in depth management accounting responsibilities, your strong attention to detail and good analytical skills will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records to fulfil financial and statutory reporting requirements and underpin commercial decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Financial Controller in a small, friendly and supportive finance team.

Maintain accurate ledgers and finance data integrity and definitions.

Daily banking, reconciliation and AP/AR transactional accounting.

Vendor payments and relationship management.

Credit control.

Month-end and year-end accounts preparation.

Reconciling balance sheet accounts and liaising on intercompany balances.

Asset register maintenance & development.

Analyse and prepare reporting on financial statements, KPIs and metrics.

Financial analysis and commentary.

Web sales and direct debit reconciliations.

Staff expenses process owner and control.

Commissions calculations.

Prepare budget and forecasting schedules, liaising for inputs with budget holders.

Providing regulatory and government information.

Preparing and submitting tax calculations, returns and reporting.

Stock accounting (distribution and manufacturing) and stocktake.

Developing and documenting financial processes, systems and controls.

Developing Finance functionality within our ERP system (NetSuite).

Competencies:

Self-motivated, organised, flexible and timely.

Methodical approach and good problem-solving skills.

Ability to integrate operational change to improve efficiency and reduce risk.

Ability to spot issues, investigate on own initiative & resolve.

Detail orientated, analytical and can present concisely.

Ability to contextualise information technically and commercially.

NetSuite experience would be big plus.

This is a mainly office-based role offering flexibility on start / finish times and the option of 1 day remote per week once established. Salary will reflect experience but will be in the region of £35-38k. Benefits include 25 days holiday, pension and parking. The office is easily accessible with parking.
