This professional organisation is seeking a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join them on an initial 15 month fixed term contract. This is a full time position working on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office and 2 from home) .

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of the year end Statutory Accounts, with responsibility for managing the audit process with the external Auditors.
  • Responsibility for the HMRC / Customs matters of the business, including VAT, Corporation Tax and PAYE.
  • Preparation of Quarterly Consolidated Accounts.
  • Responsible for the management of the Treasury processes, including relevant reporting and forecasting.
  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, with particular responsibility for the accounting of accruals and prepayments.
  • Support the Financial Controller in the management and development of internal controls and processes.
  • Assist with the preparation of the Annual Plan.
  • Assistance & liaison with Accounts Payable position.
  • Ad-hoc duties, including departmental cover during holidays and absences as required.
  • Comply with with company regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required by the Finance Director and business.

Key relationships

  • The role holder reports to the Financial Controller.
  • The role holder will work in close partnership with the other members of the Finance Team.
  • The role holder will work closely with the Group Finance function.
