Trainee Accountant Apprentice

CantelloTayler Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Trainee Accountant Apprentice to join our client based in Camberley.

We are looking for someone with initiative and drive, who is hardworking and organised with a "cando" attitude and is not afraid to take on new tasks. Accuracy, attention to detail and working to deadlines are an integral part of the role. Personality and a sense of humour are also important!

About the Trainee Accountant Apprenticeship:

  • The trainee accountant will undertake a formal training contract to study for their AAT qualification.
  • Undertake bookkeeping to trial balance
  • Prepare VAT returns and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Prepare annual Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax returns.
  • Prepare some client payrolls, personal tax returns, assist on audits, and develop, document and update new procedures and systems.
  • Ad hoc assignments as necessary.

The Trainee Accountant Apprentice will have:

  • GCSE Maths and English, preferably grade 6 or above. Three A Levels, including Mathematics, at Grade B or above is preferred.

Once the AAT qualification is complete, it is likely there will be the opportunity to train to become a fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA).
