To thrive in this role, you will be a dynamic individual, eager to join the team as a Workshop Technician. You will be responsible for the on-site mechanical and electrical repair, preventative maintenance and modification of the company fleet and customer vehicles.

Are you the right person for the job?

Essential Qualifications:

  • Fully skilled LGV Technician with NVQ Part 4, City & Guilds Part 3, or equivalent
  • LGV C+E driving licence
  • Basic computer skills

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Member of a professional body
  • Experience using Excel and Word

Experience:

  • Strong background in commercial vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Ability to manage time and organise tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills

What will your role look like?

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs on the company's fleet of vans and trucks, as well as customer vehicles
  • Attend customer sites or roadside breakdowns for scheduled and unscheduled repairs
  • Carry out regular inspections and servicing to ensure the fleet is always road-ready
  • Prepare vehicles for MOTs, ensuring compliance with all safety standards
  • Maintain accurate records using the R2C system, ensuring all service sheets and work orders are completed to the highest standard
  • Ensure the workshop meets all H&S standards and is compliant with company policies and legal requirements
