Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk Camberley£30K per annum

My client is seeking an experienced Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team in Camberley. You will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger process. You will lead, teach and direct the Purchase Ledger Assistants and interact with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation. You will:

  • Manage the received supplier invoices accurately and efficiently into the purchase ledger system
  • Daily management of the Purchase Ledger team
  • Complete the Workflow process to ensure all invoices due are paid and have the relevant level of authorisation needed
  • Ensure all invoices are treated appropriately according to their legal entity and VAT implications
  • Establish all entries into the Purchase Ledger are coded correctly
  • Liaise with the wider teams when required
  • Review the weekly payment run
  • Identify accounts and resolve any records that do not align
  • Provide regular updates to the stakeholders
  • Build effective working relationships with the wider teams to ensure timely invoice approval
  • Assist Management Accountants with any year end queries
  • Chase suppliers for any missing invoices or credit notes
  • Update and maintain the purchase ledger reports

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong purchase ledger experience
  • Have previous experience of managing a team
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have strong relationship management skills
  • Have strong working experience on Microsoft office and financial systems
  • Ideally be qualified within AAT or ACCA
