Bookkeeper

We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to oversee our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial activities. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance, looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Sales Ledger:
- Raising and posting invoices.
- Factoring debtors to outsourced credit control provider.
- Matching receipts.
- Reconciliation and allocations.
- Purchase Ledger:
- Processing purchase invoices for approval.
- Processing credit card purchases.
- Weekly processing of purchase ledger payments.
- Reconciliation and allocations.
- Month End Process:
- Producing the management accounts in a timely manner.
- Bank:
- Daily bank reconciliations.
- Managing treasury deposits.
- Payroll:
- Resolving payroll anomalies for hourly staff.
- Compiling monthly payroll adjustments for outsourced payroll bureau.
- Generating the monthly payroll journal.
- Audit and Regulatory:
- Liaising with auditors and tax advisors.
- Managing CIS returns, RHI energy scheme returns, and VAT returns.
- Ad Hoc Analysis as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a varied finance role.
- Strong understanding of management accounts.
- Full or part qualified or qualified by experience.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Excellent communication skills.
