The role will prepare, develop and analyse financial information, establish and maintain financial policies and management information systems, and ensure the management and deployment of project controls across major development projects.
The Management/Project Accountant will:
- Produce monthly management accounts with variance analysis and commentaries
- Lead the quarterly project financial reporting and manage any relevant financial audit engagements
- Assist in the production of the annual budget and rolling forecasts
- Assist in the preparation of annual statutory accounts
- Review and submit the quarterly VAT returns
- Manage capital expenditure
- Report on company assets and liabilities including balance sheet account reconciliations and review of intangible assets
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations
- Carry out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes
- Carry out analysis and reporting including schedule reviews, risk reviews, project reviews.
- Work closely with project leadership to create metrics.
- A Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years experience
- Experience of Sage would be ideal, with an understanding of management information systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management
