The role will be both office and site based providing advice to others on how to work without harming themselves or others. Technicians will work with management and delivery teams to advise on the statutory health, safety and environmental requirements as they affect the companys operations. They will assist the management team in ensuring that the legal and company SHE requirements are implemented. Duties may include:
Develop, review, and execute safe systems of work.
Create and deliver training packages (e.g., toolbox talks & inductions)
Investigate and report incidents in the workplace.
Analyse data and present findings to the management team
Undertake site visits to construction sites to check on site safety standards.
Review and approve risk assessments and method statements.
Enforce health and safety requirements.
Identify hazards and implement solutions.
Planning emergency procedures.
Adhering to environmental and safety laws.
Implement health and safety standards such as ISO 45001 etc.

Typical Working Week
40 hours p/w with start time typically between 07:00 & 08:00 inclusive of paid 8 hours at college.

Qualifications required/desirable
Minimum Requirements
English and Maths at GCSE Grade 3 / D or above, or Functional Skills at Level 1 or above.
Desired Requirements
The passion and commitment to work in water treatment. It will be advantageous if you already have previous related work experience and a SHEA Card, but certainly not essential.
Key Training/College Information
K10 will enrol you to the Level 3 Safety, Health & Environment Technician course and fund your qualifications through an accredited training provider.
The apprenticeship duration is 24 months.

To start this apprenticeship, youll need to be:
- Must be able to drive to work
- Must have had a full UK drivers license for more than 6 months
- Living in England for the last 3 years and have right to work status
- Not enrolled on any other courses
- 18+ due to site H&S rules
