Our client is an award-winning law firm that is looking for a Legal Cashier to join its busy accounts department.

Based in their modern purpose-built offices in Farnborough, you will be part of a dynamic and friendly team supporting the wider finance function. The successful candidate will have experience working in a similar role within a law firm and have an understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) accounting rules.

Legal Cashier - About The Role

The Legal Cashier will be responsible for managing the firm's financial transactions, ensuring compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reconcile accounts, process payments, and ensure SRA compliance
  • Monitor daily transactions, allocate funds, process bank reconciliations and handle deposits/withdrawals
  • Process supplier invoices, manage petty cash/expenses, and generate financial reports
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements, assist with audits, and provide documentation
  • Assist fee earners and staff with account queries and provide financial guidance

The successful Legal Cashier will have/be:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Cashier or in a similar role
  • Understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and legal financial compliance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
