Our client, a leading global manufacturer based in Farnborough, is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit control and hold a degree or be CICM qualified/part-qualified.
Credit Controller - About The Role
This role will report into the Transactional Finance Team Leader and main duties include:
- Manage Sales Ledger accounts for the UK and Europe
- Communicate with customers to ensure timely debt collection, either directly in the UK or through European offices
- Set up new accounts, assess, and review credit risk
- Post bank journals, update system, and process credit notes
- Generate and distribute monthly customer statements
- Ensure timely communication of deposit and payment hold releases
- Process Letters of Credit and Cash against documents
- Support month-end closing, reporting, and sales ledger reconciliation
- Provide ad hoc management reports and assist with other receivables-related tasks
The successful Credit Controller will have:
- A degree or CICM qualification (part-qualified also considered)
- Credit control experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well and deliver results to deadlines and under pressure
- Excellent numerical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
