Our client, a leading global manufacturer in Farnborough, is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team.
The ideal candidate should have a degree or be CICM qualified/part-qualified, along with relevant credit control experience.
Key responsibilities include managing Sales Ledger accounts, communicating with customers for debt collection, and processing various financial documents.
The position requires excellent communication and numerical skills, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
The salary for this role is competitive, and candidates should have at least 2-3 years of experience in credit control.

Credit Controller - About The Role

This role will report into the Transactional Finance Team Leader and main duties include:

Manage Sales Ledger accounts for the UK and Europe
Communicate with customers to ensure timely debt collection, either directly in the UK or through European offices
Set up new accounts, assess, and review credit risk
Post bank journals, update system, and process credit notes
Generate and distribute monthly customer statements
Ensure timely communication of deposit and payment hold releases
Process Letters of Credit and Cash against documents
Support month-end closing, reporting, and sales ledger reconciliation
Provide ad hoc management reports and assist with other receivables-related tasks

The successful Credit Controller will have:

A degree or CICM qualification (part-qualified also considered)
Credit control experience
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well and deliver results to deadlines and under pressure
Excellent numerical skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
