Our client, a leading global manufacturer based in Farnborough, is looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have experience in credit control and hold a degree or be CICM qualified/part-qualified.

Credit Controller - About The Role

This role will report into the Transactional Finance Team Leader and main duties include:

  • Manage Sales Ledger accounts for the UK and Europe
  • Communicate with customers to ensure timely debt collection, either directly in the UK or through European offices
  • Set up new accounts, assess, and review credit risk
  • Post bank journals, update system, and process credit notes
  • Generate and distribute monthly customer statements
  • Ensure timely communication of deposit and payment hold releases
  • Process Letters of Credit and Cash against documents
  • Support month-end closing, reporting, and sales ledger reconciliation
  • Provide ad hoc management reports and assist with other receivables-related tasks

The successful Credit Controller will have:

  • A degree or CICM qualification (part-qualified also considered)
  • Credit control experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work well and deliver results to deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
