Our fantastic client in Farnborough is looking for someone to come and join the team as a Risk and Compliance Manager. This is an exciting, hands on role on a driven and friendly team. The ideal candidate would be someone who can provide a best-in-class internal risk and compliance function who has great SRA and FCA compliance model experience.

This role is fully office based and a permanent position based in Farnborough working 9-5:30pm. The salary on offer is between £70,000-£80,000 DOE.

What will I be doing in the Risk and Compliance Manager role?

  • Risk and compliance management with knowledge of SRA and FCA compliance models
  • Review, monitoring and updates of firm’s policies & procedures
  • Providing a best in class internal risk and compliance function
  • Performance of the day to day tasks delegated by the COLP, COFA, DPO, Complaints / Claims officer and MLRO.
  • Assisting staff with conduct questions (e.g. conflicts) and reporting
  • Assisting staff with Anti Money Laundering questions and reporting
  • Complaints and claims risk management
  • Practicing certificate renewals
  • Performance of file verifications and associated follow ups
  • Compliance record keeping, monitoring and reporting
  • Running new starter compliance sessions and embedding good practice
  • Creation and delivery of bespoke compliance training for staff
  • Compliance audits and General compliance awareness activities.

What skills and experience is needed for the Risk and Compliance Manager role.

  • 5 years experience in legal or financial services risk and compliance management
  • Risk or compliance based qualification
  • Up to date knowledge of risk and compliance requirements in the legal profession
  • Great communication skills
  • Fantastic attention to detail
