Due to the critical nature of our work and the industries we serve, we hold 'key worker' status.The Role: Electrical Installation EngineerAn Electrical Engineer is required to work within a team of experienced electrical & software engineers, and on occasion, it will be necessary to work alone, whilst ensuring health & safety, environmental, technical compliance and quality of work is adhered to throughout the project life cycle. The role requires a self-motivated, practical problem solver with good communication skills and will involve meetings with clients to ensure their needs are met within all aspects of;

  • Site surveys
  • Design creation
  • Generating & updating supporting documents
  • Testing & some commissioning
  • Legislation, compliance and specifications are met

Key Responsibilities:

  • Authoring and configuring system design documentation, network architecture drawings, electrical drawings and general arrangements
  • Aiding in the production of detailed functional design specifications (FDS)
  • Identification and procurement of electrical equipment and instrumentation
  • Managing and completing site surveys, site installations and commissioning (which may occasionally involve periods away from home)
  • Chance to learn the production, modification, testing and commissioning of SCADA & PLC software

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Electrical qualifications C&G level 3, BTEC, NVQ3, ONC or HNC/HND, and 18th Edition
  • Electrical inspection and testing certification (C&G 2391 or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in industrial electrical installations or maintenance background; including motors, controls and 3 phase systems
  • Experience in control panel design & assembly would be advantageous
  • Electrical design including ePlan/AutoCAD or equivalent would be advantageous
  • Knowledge or experience with PLC's such as Mitsubishi, Rockwell or Siemens
  • Knowledge or experience of telemetry outstations and/or ADSL / 3G / 4G routers
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Clean UK Driving License
