Senior Electronics Engineer
Hybrid Working / flexible working hours

We are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer to help us with ourgrowth plans, who can bring technicalcompetence, experience and skill in his or her chosen field to the development of the companys products. The successfulcandidate will be expected to become a key member of a small multidisciplinary development team.

Primary Responsibilities

Be able to translate ideas, requirements and engineering specifications into solid engineering solutions.
Provide sound time / cost estimates and plans, and be able to stick to them.
Will be required to develop electronic sub-system solutions, which will form part of an overall system, which may also
incorporate optics, mechanics and software.
Will be expected to develop test strategies, in order to evaluate equipment and then to document his or her findings,not only from the electronic aspects of a device, but also for an entire system or product.
Support manufacturing and other relevant departments during the project development and production phases.
Will be required to deal will all aspects of the lifecycle of a product from cradle to grave, including providingmanufacturing support.
Will be required to liaise with suppliers e.g. layout specialists / CMOs.

Experinece / Qualifications

Degree level or equivalent in Electronic Engineering + demonstrable practical design and construction experience.
Competent analogue and digital electronics engineer.
Be proficient in the use of ECAD tools in order to undertake schematic capture and where necessary PCB layout.
Utilise circuit simulation as and where necessary.
From time to time it may be necessary to build prototypes, test equipment, etc. The candidate must thereforedemonstrate the necessary experience and skills in order to undertake this aspect of the role; be that using throughhole or SMD technology.
Be able to program a microcontroller in order to bring a bare metal system to life, such that it can be fully exercisedand tested. Programming skills in assembler, C or similar languages would be useful.
Knowledge of programmable logic would be desirable, though is not essential.
The successful candidate must understand and follow the company QMS.
Must be able to produce high quality engineering documentation to supportwork.
Experience of working within the defence/aerospace or similar sectors though not essential, would be desirable.
