Location : Camberley

Salary £27-30,000

My client who are based in Camberley are looking for an Imports Officer to join their team. This role is working within the Imports team where you will be dealing with Ocean Freight Shipments on a daily basis. We are looking for candidates who have got exceptional organisational skills and are able to build strong working relationships with customers over the phone. The hours of work at 7am to 4pm - Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have experience within order processing, communicating with suppliers and approving and placing orders.

Daily Duties

Communicating with Overseas suppliers by e-mail and telephone.End to end purchase order processingReceiving orders from our purchasing team.Approving and placing orders with suppliers.Pricing negotiations with suppliers.Track and tracing and pushing orders and shipments through order placement, production, sailing and delivery.Detailed shipping document checks and various imports licence applications ensuring that current UK Import Laws and requirements are complied with.Liaising with shipping lines, freight forwarders, clearing agents and haulage companies.Liaising with our warehouse team for goods-in bookings.Receipt and delivery of container orders and palletised deliveries.Conveying supplier price changes, periodic promotions, delays and other correspondences to all teams and senior management members.Placing purchase orders and booking stock in on Sage 200.Account and database management.Clerical and documentation management.Negotiating and organising road haulage and ocean freight.Placing orders with suppliers in the UK and arranging delivery.
