An exciting opportunity has arisen for a R&D Assistant to join a dynamic team, contributing to the development of an ambitious three-year innovation pipeline across multiple well-known brands. This role offers the chance to be part of a company that prioritises sustainability, biodiversity, and a better approach to producing healthy, delicious food.

We are looking for a proactive and creative individual, ideally a recent graduate eager to kick-start their career in product development within the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative product concepts that align with brand values.
  • Research culinary trends and analyse category and market opportunities to drive innovation across multiple brands.
  • Turn creative ideas into real products, including:
  • Collaborating with third-party suppliers on recipe development.
  • Producing kitchen samples, testing recipes, and working with factories to conduct trials and refine products.
  • Liaising with internal teams (marketing, category management, purchasing, commercial, supply chain) and external suppliers to bring concepts to market.
  • Understand key business requirements, including P&L and profit management.
  • Ensure compliance with the Innovation.
  • Support the creation of trade materials by providing relevant information to key teams.
  • Contribute to various projects as part of the innovation pipeline.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • A background in food, nutrition, or innovation is ideal.
  • Passionate about food, with a keen interest in new trends and ideas, and the ability to develop an exciting innovation pipeline.
  • A strong communicator who can inspire and engage both internal and external teams to bring exceptional products to market.
  • Creative and analytical, with a problem-solving mindset and a drive for excellence.
