Do you have experience working in a engineering/manufacturing environment? If so, our client is a manufacturing business who specialise in manufacturing consumer products, and have grown steadily over the past 20 years. They are looking for a motivated Health and Safety Manager to join them on a permanent basis, responsible for a multisite operation.Responsible for covering the tasks and duties you will be working with the all departments to provide advice, ensuring the business meets its statutory and regulatory health and safety duties in respect of property, employees and residents. Ensuring the smooth and effective running of the department.Key Responsibilities:Covering all departments, a few key responsibilities are:? First Aid and Fire Marshals, ill health and Incidents, DSE Assessments, COSHH & Risk Assessments, Machinery & Vehicle Risk Assessments and Facilities? Meet monthly with Directors to discuss complex health and safety strategies, including policy formulation, auditing, management of risk and training.? Responsible for Health & Safety Champions in the business? Ensuring all subcontractors meet their legal duties in supplying insurance certificates and maintain health, safety and environmental compliance? Maintaining and updating policies, procedures, risk assessments, evacuation plans and site manuals? Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented? Developing and executing health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines? Ensuring that manual handling courses are carried out? Leading the charge for Health & Safety in all areas including initiatives? Maintains an awareness of new and existing relevant laws, rules and regulations? Conduct Health & Safety Audits and inspections to ensure site compliance with Health & Safety processes and proceduresExperience required:? Knowledge and experience with UK Environmental, Health & Safety regulations and behaviour-based safety programs.? 2 - 5 years’ experience in environmental health & safety in a manufacturing operation? NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety? Understanding of risk and COSHH management systems? Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively in written and oral? Self-motivating with the ability to plan and schedule tasks? Effectively communicate and implement established Health & Safety procedures within the defined business areas.The benefits are:?
