We are looking for an experienced Import Clerk to join our well-established client in the farnborough area. The successful candidate will handle import operations, ensuring smooth customs procedures and documentation for the company.

This role is a fully office-based role, where you will be expected to get on and do what you are good at. Our client is a freight forwarding, warehousing & logistics business that is making freight & storage for a competitive price tag.

Key Responsibilities:

Process import shipments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Manage customs declarations using the Customs Declaration Service (CDS)
Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transport companies to coordinate efficient movement of goods.
Handle shipment documentation, including bills of lading and invoices.
Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve any import-related issues.
Maintain accurate records of import transactions.

Requirements:

A minimum of 3 years' experience in handling imports.
Proficient in using CDS for customs clearance.
Strong understanding of import procedures and regulations.
Experience in multimodal transport (air, sea, road) is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Knowledge of Sequoia an advantage.
