Our client is looking for a Paralegal to join their Employment Law team in Camberley. The role will focus on supporting solicitors with both employment disputes and advisory matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, detail-oriented individual to gain hands-on experience and contribute to a dynamic legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management Support: Assist in managing a caseload of employment law matters, including drafting correspondence, preparing employment tribunal bundles, and handling legal documentation.
  • Client Communication: Liaise with clients, witnesses, and third parties to gather relevant information, providing updates as necessary and supporting client queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on employment law topics, case law, and regulations to support solicitors in case preparation and strategy development.
  • Document Drafting: Draft legal documents such as employment contracts, settlement agreements, grievance and disciplinary procedures, and employment tribunal claims.
  • File Management: Maintain and update case files, ensuring all documentation is correctly filed, stored, and compliant with firm and legal requirements.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks such as managing appointments, tracking deadlines, and preparing court documents.

Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Employment Law Experience: Previous experience as an Employment Law Paralegal, or a strong interest in pursuing a career in employment law, is essential.
  • Legal Knowledge: Good understanding of employment law, including statutory rights, contracts of employment, and employment tribunal procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using case management systems, document management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive and Detail-Oriented: Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Legal Qualifications: A law degree or paralegal qualification is desirable but not essential.
