Senior paralegal (Residential Property Litigation)

We are seeking a Residential Property Litigator to join our dynamic Dispute Resolution team. This role is ideal for an experienced Paralegal with a passion for resolving residential property disputes and a desire to work within a forward-thinking legal environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage a varied caseload of contentious residential property matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
  • Handle Landlord & Tenant Disputes, including advising on long leasehold disputes, service charge disagreements, and tenancy issues.
  • Conduct Possession & Eviction Proceedings, including drafting s21 and s8 notices and representing clients in court.
  • Oversee Breach of Lease & Contract Disputes, managing cases involving unpaid rent, unauthorised alterations, and other lease breaches.
  • Advise on Boundary & Adverse Possession Disputes, including land ownership issues and right-of-way conflicts.
  • Engage in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods such as mediation, arbitration, and negotiations to resolve disputes outside of court.
  • Represent clients in Litigation & Court, including drafting pleadings, preparing cases for trial, and court representation.
  • Ensure compliance with landlord-tenant regulations and handle regulatory matters.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Senior paralegal with multiple years’ experience in property litigation or dispute resolution.
  • Strong technical knowledge in residential property disputes.
  • Excellent drafting skills, including correspondence, pleadings, and witness statements.
  • Commercially astute, focused on delivering practical and cost-effective solutions.
  • Exceptional client care skills, with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
