An air transport facility requires a Procurement Manager to lead indirect procurement activities. Applicants need deep indirect procurement experience, leadership skills, the ability to implement procurement process/governance and manage stakeholders.
The Procurement Manager will join the organisation during an exciting period of growth and transition. Responsible for a spend of c£60m across traditional indirect category areas (IT, FM, Marketing etc.), they will drive change, work on specific procurement projects and help achieve broader organisational ESG and sustainability objectives. The Procurement Manager will have 1-2 direct reports.
Specific duties of the Procurement Manager include:
- Lead full lifecycle procurement activities; sourcing/tendering, negotiation, award through to SRM and contract management
- Own the procurement governance framework, associated processes and tools
- Effective stakeholder partnership - understanding requirements while championing processes and procurement best practice
- Supply market intelligence activities - supplier selection, de-selection and categorisation activities
- Support broader organisational ESG and sustainability goals - developing local suppliers etc.
Procurement Manager applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience in a senior, procurement leadership role; Procurement Manager, Senior Procurement Manager, Senior Category Manager, Head of Procurement, Head of Category etc.
- Deep, generalist indirect procurement experience. Up coming project workload is across; IT, FM, Marketing and Professional Services but all indirect, and/or capital procurement experience would work
- Ability to thrive in an environment with fluid and changing objectives
- Confident in interacting with senior stakeholders
- Experience of integrating ESG and sustainability considerations into procurement strategies
