Role: Facilities Maintenance Engineer

Location: Farnborough

Salary: 35,000 - 37,500 + Overtime

Due to continued success and growth, a leading engineering business based in Farnborough is currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

The Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Engineer are as follows:

  • Coordinate and direct the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities, working independently or through subordinate supervisors.
  • Inspect plant operations and evaluate the use of space and facilities.
  • Analyse HVAC systems, computer networks, lighting, and other operational factors.
  • Plan, budget, and schedule facilities modifications, including cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts.
  • Perform audits to support facility planning.
  • Act as a liaison with public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
  • Manage subordinate supervisors within the Maintenance Department.

The successful Facilities Maintenance Engineer will have the following skills / experience:

  • Related experience and/or training, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical capability of lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating facility environments.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and technical standards.
