Head of UK Production & Logistics (Food Manufacture)Surrey M3 Corridor£75,000 £85,000 + Negotiable Package + 25 days holiday Are you an experienced head of production from a food or FMCG background looking to work for a global business where you will lead the production strategy for 6 sites across the UK?Do you have strategic experience in a national production and logistics environment and want to work in a company where you are trusted to do your job as an expert in your field and will delivery genuine value across the company?On offer is a role as the UK Head of Production and Logistics in an FMCG Manufacturing environment where you'll be responsible optimising the production footprint and drive initiatives to improve the companies logistics and warehousing infrastructure.Being the Head of Production within the team means thriving within a fast-paced environment where confident problem-solving and quick decision-making counts. The Head of UK Production & Logistics will be responsible for all current operations teams and related members of staff, including various team leaders and line leaders. As an experience Head of Production and Logistics you will be an excellent man manager and leader in the business, and whilst not expected to manage the day-to-day tasks of running production lines you will be a doer and be constantly looking for things to improve.The role:

  • Person would be responsible for operations, with focus on the strategic development of the business
  • Optimise the production footprint
  • Drive initiatives to improve logistics/warehousing setup
  • Execute on select projects, e.g. get new production lines in place for new product launches, implement efficiencies in existing processes (such as automation, various inbound/outbound flows)

The person:

  • Significant production and logistics experience from with within the food or FMCG industry
  • Proactive and constantly looking for things to improve in a fast-paced environment
