Plant Manager

Plant Manager / Factory Manager / Operations Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Site Manager required to join a manufacturer in Farnborough, Hampshire.

The Plant Manager / Factory Manager / Operations Manager / Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for the operations of a manufacturing site with circa 45 staff. As well as responsibility for site operations, you’ll be involved with key customers and support business strategy and growth.

Role
Operations & plant management – including Quality, Production, Procurement, Sales & Electronics  
Site management - Ensure site maintenance is carried out. Implement and manage a maintenance schedule for all in-house equipment. Manage subcontractors
Set, track and report on site level operational KPIs.
Be the face of the company in key customer meetings
Responsible for the health & safety of all employees on site
Responsible for recruitment and People development with the support of the HR team
Ensure production labour times as quoted to customers are met or reduced for every production job
Responsible for goal setting, appraisal, performance management, capability and disciplinary issues
Working to lean manufacturing principals including 5S and 6S
Working within a manufacturing environment which includes fabrication, machining, painting and electronics assembly.
Liaise with various engineering departments
Site based in Farnborough, Hampshire

Requirements
Proven site / operations / plant management – Previous experience as a Plant Manager / Factory Manager / Operations Manager / Manufacturing Manager / Site Manager / Production Manager (looking for a step up) or similar.
Commutable to Farnborough, Hampshire
Engineering qualification preferred 
Proven experience within a manufacturing environment
