Position: Multi-Modal Freight Sales Business Development Manager

We are recruiting for a Global Freight Forwarder to join their team as a Multi-Modal Freight sales BDM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the business growth by developing and implementing strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase revenue.

Your key responsibilities as a multi-modal freight sales business development manager:

  • Identify new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships
  • Quote new prospects independently
  • Negotiating contracts and agreements with customers to secure new business
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of services
  • Develop sales strategies to achieve growth targets
  • Manage own load generation
  • Securing new B2B sales & gross profit growth across the portfolio
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity
  • Prepare and present reports on sales
  • Achieve an agreed number of face-to-face/virtual meetings per month with prospective B2B (commercial) clients.
  • Source, plan and conduct face-to-face calls with prospective B2B customers within the south of the UK.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience (Air, Road & Ocean Imports/Exports)
  • Experience with UK commercial manufacturers and companies
  • Working knowledge of International freight forwarding industry. Incoterms ESSENTIAL
  • Highly credible, mature individual with strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate at all levels.
  • Proven ability of creating long-term relationships with key decision makers.
  • Ambitious, conscientious & driven personality with a strong work ethic.
