About the Role:

Holden Knight Healthcare is delighted to partner with a leading local council in [City/Town] in their search for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a key role within the council, where you will lead the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services, making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of occupational therapists, providing supervision, guidance, and support to ensure the delivery of effective services.
  • Conduct complex assessments of clients’ needs, developing and implementing tailored intervention plans that promote independence, safety, and well-being.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including social workers, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care.
  • Provide expert advice on adaptations, equipment, and techniques to enhance clients’ ability to perform daily activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of intervention plans, making adjustments as necessary to meet the evolving needs of clients.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and council policies, maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation.
  • Act as a mentor and role model to junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy with current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Significant experience working as an Occupational Therapist, with expertise in managing complex cases.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and professionals.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act and Manual Handling regulations.
  • Commitment to delivering person-centered care that promotes independence and enhances quality of life.
