Are you a recent Psychology Graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in a primary school setting? Do you have a passion for supporting children with special educational needs? Academics is looking for dedicated and empathetic Psychology graduates to join a primary school in Surrey as Learning Support Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates interested in progressing into Clinical or Educational Psychology.
The Role:
- Supporting children on a 1-to-1 basis who have Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs)
- Working with children with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioural issues, and other learning difficulties
- Assisting class teachers in implementing individualised learning plans
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Long-term contract with a view to permanent placement
What We're Looking For:
- A recent Psychology Graduate (BSc/MSc)
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs
- Interest in progressing to Clinical or Educational Psychology
- Patient, understanding, and able to build strong relationships with children
- Experience with children with ASD, behavioural challenges, or other needs is desirable
