Our client, based in Farnborough, are looking to add an Apprentice Quality Technician to their team.


Reporting to a Quality Engineer/Manager, you will receive comprehensive support to achieve a Level 4 HNC in Engineering, Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, and Level 4 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing. We will also sponsor your membership with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), paving the way for future technician accreditation. Subject to performance, further opportunities for degree-level study and Chartered Engineer status may follow.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams to meet business objectives.
  • Support process improvement projects to reduce scrap and enhance quality.
  • Conduct audits, data analysis, and testing activities.
  • Aid in technical documentation, presentations, and customer specification reviews.
  • Perform basic design calculations and mechanical/thermal analyses.
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Support configuration control, design reviews, and innovation initiatives.


Qualifications:
Essential:

  • A-levels in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, OR Level 3 BTEC in Engineering.
  • GCSE grades 9-4 in Mathematics and English plus relevant apprenticeship.


Desirable:

  • Experience with CAD software.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Passion for aerospace, innovation, and problem-solving.
