Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science Teacher to fulfil a permanent, full-time teaching position within a Secondary School located in Farnborough. This role has the potential for Leadership for the right candidate!

We are looking for a person to teach 11-16-year-old children computer science and expand the curriculum offer in years to come. The school has a high number of pupils who opt for the subject and we have strong links with local industries, universities and British / European space agency. They are a forward-thinking school with a strong sense of community and care for staff and pupils.

You will lead a small, dedicated specialist team, whilst supporting whole school STEM and e-learning initiatives. The schools aim to make sure that every child, in every lesson is cared for and achieves academic excellence. That is at the heart of what they believe and try to live up to. This is a unique opportunity for a collaborative and motivated individual who wants to take the next step in their teaching career by joining a great teaching team. An opportunity exists to develop computing and e-learning school wide for a motivated and innovative individual.

The successful candidate will:

  • Engage, enthuse, motivate and challenge pupils in order for them to excel academically
  • Make a positive contribution to the efficient running of the department, including, setting and marking examinations, attending departmental meetings and undertaking administrative and other tasks as delegated by the Curriculum Leader
  • Have good subject knowledge and deliver high quality teaching
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent with a degree in a relevant subject

The salary for this role is currently set at MPS/UPS, and is a permanent, full-time position to start in January 2025.
