Role Overview:
- Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
- Position: Learning Support Assistant
- Hours: 8:30am-3:00pm (term time only)
- Type: Full-time
- Pay: Minimum £85 per day, depending on experience
- Start Date: February 2025
- End Date: Ongoing
- Contract Type: Temporary
Responsibilities:
- Provide learning support to pupils, working both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
- Collaborate with other support and education staff.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or those with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
- Manage challenging behaviour effectively and positively.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
- Experience working with children and young people with SEN or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
- Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively.
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but training can be provided).
Eligibility:
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
- Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
