Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join a school in Farnborough, providing support to children in Key Stage 1.

Role Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide learning support to pupils, working both in groups and on a 1:1 basis.
  • Collaborate with other support and education staff.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) or those with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Manage challenging behaviour effectively and positively.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a school or similar setting.
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEN or social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
  • Proven ability to manage behaviour effectively.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but training can be provided).

Eligibility:

  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
  • Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
