Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an experienced SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support a pupil (1:1) within a local primary school. This is set to start as soon as possible, and is an ongoing, temporary position until at least July 2025. 

The school is a small junior school based in the heart of Farnborough, where they understand the importance of strong partnerships between home and school and all staff are committed to delivering high quality teaching and learning opportunities to inspire and motivate pupils. The site has a wonderful interior and boasts fantastic outdoor facilities to keep the pupils engaged with the outdoors, including a pond, climbing frame, 'chill-out rooms' and even an avairy!

As the Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Be a patient, passionate and resilient individual with experience of working with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) - Ideally within a Primary school setting 
  • Have experience supporting Social, Emotional Mental Health in young people with a positive and patient manner
  • Be available as soon as possible for five days per week on an ongoing basis
  • Be open to working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in KS2
  • Have an Enhanced DBS (Child) on the Update Service – or be willing to obtain one

The salary for this position is currently set between £80-95 per day. You will be paid on a weekly basis (the following Friday).
