SEN Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Farnborough.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be based in the school’s resource provision, providing tailored support to students on Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs). Your primary focus will be supporting students with Autism, most of whom can access the curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with school-based experience or transferable skills who is eager to make a difference in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students with Autism, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  2. Assist in implementing EHCPs and tailoring strategies to meet individual student needs.
  3. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting students’ academic and personal development.
  4. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the wider school team to support student progress.
  5. Uphold the school’s high expectations for behaviour and learning, contributing to a safe and caring environment.
