We are seeking a passionate and creative Art and Textiles Teacher to join our team and inspire our students through engaging and adaptive art education.
Job Title: Art and Textiles Teacher
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire
Position Type: Full time, Temp-Perm contract
Salary: £31,650- £49,084
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality art and textiles lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of SEN students.
- Develop and implement creative projects that encourage self-expression, creativity, and skill development.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and well-being.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and other staff members.
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and therapists to create comprehensive and individualized education plans.
- Organize and participate in school events, exhibitions, and extracurricular activities related to art and textiles.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom, ensuring all materials and equipment are used responsibly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Textiles, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with SEN students, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of various art and textiles techniques and materials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
