Importation and Supply Chain Officer

Location: Camberley

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000

My client who are based in Camberley are looking for an Imports and Supply Chain Officer to join their team. We are looking for candidates who have got experience in forecasting, supply chain, stock control and raising purchase orders. The hours of work are 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. You will be hard working, have a keen eye for detail and detailed.

Daily Duties

You will help build and implement a robust, efficient flow of products through the Companys purchase ordering and forecasting system.

Co-ordinating with the purchasing ordering team you will be responsible to better manage stock levels in order to flatten out peaks and troughs in stock availability.

You will be in control of the end-to-end purchase order processing, communications and facilitating order shipments. Working alongside our inventory management system to ensure optimum stock levels

Inventory analysis and classification

Supply Chain risk management

Analysing and recommending purchase orders

Historical sales performance analysis and reporting

Forecasting demand based upon seasonality, sales projections, promotions, etc.

Communicating with Overseas suppliers

End to end purchase order processing, including:

Communicating price changes, promotions, delays, and other correspondences throughout the Company

Placing purchase orders and receiving stock in on Sage 200

Account and database management

Clerical and documentation management

Negotiating and organising multi-modal freight shipments

Essential

Deep knowledge and understanding of Inventory analytics

Previous experience in Inventory Management

The candidate will be expected to have superb attention to detail, as demonstrated firstly by their ability to highlight areas of stock management enhancements, bring significant efficiencies to stock availability and the reduction of stock wastage.
